Nina and Pinta

I did a double take today as we were riding around in our golf cart.   Columbus ships found their way to Grand Rivers!   The original Nina, the most historically accurate replica of a Columbus Ship ever built, and recently built Pinta were docked at Green Turtle Bay.

Both Nina and Pinta will be touring together as new and enhanced “sailing museum”,  for the purpose of educating the public and school children on the “caravel”, a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world.

This weekend has been packed with arts, crafts, good food plus the exciting arrival of Nina and Pinta!  The weather here has also been perfect!   I hope you have had a great weekend as well.

Thanks for stopping by:-)

What a sight that must have been! the two out in the water could be mistaken for a photo in a history book, instead of something current. Thank you for sharing this. Mary, I also want to thank you for the very kind comment you left on my "heart plopping" post about my adoption. laurie
