When it’s cold outside and you want something warm and filling,
there’s nothing better than a good hearty bowl of venison stew,
and…….
White Lilly cornbread.
All you need is a good heavy pot or crock pot.
- stew meat
- carrots
- celery
- onions – 2 large
- McCormick's Beef Stew Mix
- Salt & Pepper to taste
I love to use antique muffin pans…
The recipe for this cornbread is listed on the White Lily Self Rising Flour…
We’re going to have to change Julia Child’s quote to….
eat diet food only
while we’re waiting for the cornbread to cook.
We’re at the lake cottage this week, and ….
a little candle light makes the corn bread taste even better. :-)
Someone else comes running… when he smells the cornbread baking.
Take care…have a good weekend.
See you soon!

Mary,
This White Lily Cornbread looks amazing! I am a cornbread lover to begin with, and this with melted butter, oh my. My mom used to cook venison for my dad every now and then, and he would love it. Stew amd cornbread.....such delicious food. Happy weekend.

Hugs,
I also forgot to add that this will need to cook for approximately 5 to 6 hours...on low.
