As I was cleaning my sewing room today, I ran across a few prints that I
purchased while in Paris.
I checked my computer and there they were…. my photo’s from our trip.
I can’t believe
how times flies…July 2011.
A famous photographer once said that the true Parisian's do not like to visit the Eiffel tower.
I’m probably one of the few, but I’ll have to agree with them.
It’s the most over done photo in the world, and I’m just not patient enough to wait in line to take
a photo of a bunch of steel, in the heat, for 3 hours unless….. I’ve got a great
camera, and getting paid mega bucks.
and since neither of the two was happening,
I’d rather sit at this wonderful café, drink wine and have a great steak
with the most awesome sauce in the world!
We loved visiting Notre-Dame!
We said a prayer for our loved ones…. that has gone on before us.
window shopped
took nibbles…
We rode trains, boats, water taxes, planes….the only thing we
didn’t ride was a bicycle, and you know … I really wanted to ride one!
Up…Up…we go.
Beauty’s everywhere up here!
Our view…without the crowd.
If you like to sew…my..my ..my,
this is only a small sample…fabric shops are everywhere!
The rich and famous walk this street and…. also the girl’s from Kentucky
and North Carolina!
As I was saying, I was cleaning my sewing room and she or maybe he
inspired me to post a few of my Paris photo’s.
Take care friends,
enjoy your weekend!

Mary,
I do believe my Nel is saying Hello through You because she is there right now with her new husband! Please say a prayer for her safety, would you? These pictures are just beautiful. I love the knight on the horse. And I hear Notre Dame Cathedral is beautiful. I was just telling Nel yesterday to bring me back something from France, but not anything that is the Eifell Tower. I think I've seen it too much, so I know what you mean. The cafe is so charming, and that is exactly how I would want to spend some of my time. I hear that the crossaints are warm and incredible. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us, Mary. I got a bit of what my daughter will be doing in the next few days. That lady in your sewing room is delightful - I WANT HER!

I know what you mean. My friends back in England think I'm visiting Paris to shop !( window shop ) every week. Not for me ! I've lived in France now for.23 yrs and have been twice. There are so many other places I want I see
What a delightful pin holder you have something to treasure.

I remember your trip! These photos are just gorgeous. I wouldn't stand in line either...I'd be drinking wine and eating French pastries. :)
