A Little Flower Therapy

 I'm sorry I've been away for awhile, but I must say I've been trying to create a blog post in Blogo, it's an app that I purchased to use on my macbook, but unfortunately I've never been able to get it to actually publish.

After using Windows Live Writer for several year's, I guess I've been spoiled.

 A friend gave me this Amaryllis last year, but it never bloomed, after dying back over the winter I sat it in the garden and Viola!  It must love RAIN!

I'm switching out the plastic pot soon....just haven't found anything that suits her yet, (she's picky.)

Don't you just love Peonies?   They're right up there with Hydrangeas!

Tiptoe through the Tulips

Happy Spring Everyone!

It's been so beautiful here for a week or so, and then BAM,  it's cold again,  with frost warnings, and cold nights,  so I got up early and did a photo shoot of the beautiful tulips at the Capitol.

I really thought the frost and cold temps would probably kill these beauties but so far so good. 

Every year the gardner's try to mix it up a little, they plant different colors schemes,  this year it was red and yellow section with a mixed section of yellow and red.

I've been asked how I got this shot....(I didn't lie down on the ground) quiet frankly I'm not as young as I used to be :-),   I actually set my camera on the ground and used a wide angle lens.

These were last years colors....I think they're my favorite.

I'm hoping to be around when the gardner's start digging these up in a few days. They give all the bulbs to anyone that wants them so they can start planting their summer garden's before Derby Day.

Love this little Robin...she's been hanging around our house looking for a place to build her nest.
