Happy Spring Everyone!
It's been so beautiful here for a week or so, and then BAM, it's cold again, with frost warnings, and cold nights, so I got up early and did a photo shoot of the beautiful tulips at the Capitol.
I really thought the frost and cold temps would probably kill these beauties but so far so good.

Every year the gardner's try to mix it up a little, they plant different colors schemes, this year it was red and yellow section with a mixed section of yellow and red.
I've been asked how I got this shot....(I didn't lie down on the ground) quiet frankly I'm not as young as I used to be :-), I actually set my camera on the ground and used a wide angle lens.
Early morning cloudy sky....
These were last years colors....I think they're my favorite.
I'm hoping to be around when the gardner's start digging these up in a few days. They give all the bulbs to anyone that wants them so they can start planting their summer garden's before Derby Day.
Love this little Robin...she's been hanging around our house looking for a place to build her nest.
Well guys that's all today....hope you have a fabulous week, take care and I will see you soon!

Mary, your red and yellow tulip photos are stunning. And did you know this is one of my favorite flowers? I like the picture of the Capitol in the distance. Aahh, there's the Robin. This bird is so special to me because it's brave and doesn't fly away like the others. It always lets me take its picture. How sweet that she's been hanging out around your house ready to build her nest.
Happy spring days, Mary. Some of my blog friends have said they are having snow in April!
