Quackers going Bonkers

Hello everyone!
I took these photo’s a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I would share them with you while we still have snow.  If the weather forecast is correct, we may be getting warmer temperatures by the end of the week.

January Photo’s and Tidbits of Poetry.

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you had a good one!

We stayed at the lake cottage with family which is always nice!

Today’s post is January photo’s and tidbits of poetry.

Male & Female Cardinal @Lavender & Linen

On a dreary winter day, with no sun in the sky

I see not far away a red flash flutter by,

Female Cardinal & Sparrow @Lavender & Linen

The Crimson takes a seat, and this sweet song I hear, what cheer, tweet. tweet, tweet…. it’s the Cardinal Bird. (The females aren’t as colorful as the males, but they are still beautiful.)

Garden Bench during Winter @Lavender & Linen

Bare branches of each tree on this chilly January morn look so cold so forlorn.

Did you know that Cardinals remain partners until one dies and only then do they find another one?

Garden Sign @Lavender & Linen

Dead of winter cold hands warm heart as pure as snow.

(I’ve always heard this saying.)

Something went wrong, says the empty house in the weed choked yard, stones in the fields say he was not a farmer.  The still -sealed jars in the cellar say she left in a nervous haste.  Something went wrong they say…empty old house by “Ted Kooser” (When I see old abandoned houses, my mind is always full of questions.)
