Let’s save the pollinators!

Hello Friends,

I hope you’re having a great week!  Thanks for your nice comments on my vintage soda crate storage!  I think my husband was a little surprised!

I’m also honored that it was chosen to be one of the features on Marty’s Stroll thru Life Inspire me Tuesday.and…on top of that, I really appreciate my new followers!

By the way, who doesn’t like Butterflies?   I think almost everyone enjoys seeing a beautiful Monarch fluttering around in their garden.

I rarely see a butterfly in my garden anymore, especially here in town.  I see a few bee’s,  but that’s only when the lavender is in bloom.

You can click here and read about the 50,000 bumble bees that died after trees in Wilsonville, Oregon were sprayed with a particular kind of pesticide.

We really do need to protect the pollinators because our food supply depends on them!.

I love Zinnia’s!  I think their colors are so vibrant, and can really add a special touch to your garden.  You can find Zinnia seed packets at Walmart, Lowes or your local garden nursery.  Check out this Old Farmers Almanac and it will tell you everything you need to know about growing Zinnia’s.They are so simple and easy to grow!

I snapped these photos at a local wild life conservatory.  I was so thrilled to see all plantings, and hummingbird feeders. They are making a huge effort to bring back the pollinators in this area.

I think each of us can do our part by using only organic sprays and weed killers instead of harmful pesticides.

I planted a few sunflowers seeds. while I was at the lake cottage, and the bee’s and hummingbirds were buzzing.

Here I planted zinnia seeds in a flower pot, because I’m a flower hoarder and every spot in my yard is quiet full, even though they didn’t stand up straight…. they still bloomed. I’m hoping to soon see a beautiful butterfly!
