Who doesn’t like to decorate for Christmas? If you are like me you’re always looking to save a buck or two. I usually shop at the Dollar Tree for gift bags and ribbon, because they always have the cutest gift bags, but… have to shop early because they go fast!
However, this week I spotted these cute glass candle votive’s, as well as, these vanilla candles
and….these little birds.
I first painted them with silver, then I added a small amount of metal glaze.
My daughter painted little mustaches on a few cocktail glasses with chalk paint.
She used Martha Stewart’s chalk paint… for glass and metal.
Now…. if Santa thinks he needs a little bourbon to keep him warm he has his own special glass!
How about these glasses? I’m loving the mix of gold and silver!
If you have made something from the Dollar Tree, and would like to share, then head on over to Debbie’s of Debbiedoo’s and Shannon of Fox Hollow Cottage. It’s their second annual Dollar Tree Christmas Party.
Plan to be inspired!

Mary,
The little birds are sweet, and I love your daughter's mustache glass. Yes, it's fun to decorate, and I really enjoy it this time of year.
Enjoy the weekend.

Oh how cute Mary. Love the glasses and I love the vignettes. So glad you shared at the dollar tree party.
Mary,
Thanks for stopping by the blog tour today. It was nice to see your comment. I saw a chalk paint canister today and picked it up for Jess for Christmas. She'll love it.
