I hope you are having a nice Valentine’s
Day.
We are at the lake cottage this week and it’s the perfect
place to be on Valentine’s Day.
I did a little bird staging in my back yard today…
I couldn’t believe it! A male and female cardinal…
they both looked like the perfect little love birds….
.
but….after observing, it was quiet the opposite. The male would run her
away so he could have all the food for himself.. ..
We cleaned the flower garden’s, cut back the roses…
because……….
tomorrow it’s going to be COLD again!
It’s probably a good thing because it’s back to cleaning
and sprucing up a little inside.

I have loved this wall treatment ever since I saw
it featured in the Christmas Country Cottage Magazine.
It’s from the Lettered Cottage…love her clean, crisp style…
I copied her idea, and painted one wall in our bedroom, here at the cottage….
Now… if only I had the shelves, the mirrors and everything else that goes with it!

The male cardinal is so vibrant isn't he, but a bit of a bully where his "lady friend" is concerned! I saw my first cardinal when I visited Atlanta
and loved watching them.

You take the prettiest pictures of birds, Mary. I just saw a robin in my back yard and got a good shot of it, and two mourning doves. I never see the beautiful red cardinals though. Yes, it's time for spring cleaning, and I'm doing that as well. Have a lovely nice weekend.
