This little bunch of mint jumped out at me while I was grocery shopping today.
It’s bright green color just made me happy.

I created this piece in late September.    Today, while I was deleting and cleaning up my photo’s
I just happened to see where I had taken a few shots during the creating process.

I find as many real visuals or subjects that I can.

You can always switch things around a little or add things to your art.
For instance, in the inspiration photo
both onion’s were taken with only the top’s showing,
I chose to turn one upside down and paint the bottom
and the top.

If you want to know how to paint an onion you can Google, how to paint an onion, and
there’s usually a u tube video that will give you clear step by step instructions.

I looked around
in my garden and saw this little weed…
its roots were the perfect visual for painting the thyme root.

When your masterpiece is finished, and the paint is dry…
spray lightly with a transparent sealer.
Again you can find all of these things at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

due to the lighting, they really don’t look quiet this purple in my kitchen.
Seriously…if you can draw a straight line….you can create a piece of art, your very own art.

Your painting is wonderful, Mary. I love the purples in it. I can't draw or paint, to be honest, and I have always admired people who could. All my kids can draw...I wonder where they got it from haha. The art that I like varies - sometimes I like beautiful painted roses and sometimes I love whimsical drawings. You know Thomas Kinkade? I love everything he does and have always wanted one of his paintings for my home. Keep painting, Mary. You have such a talent.

Love your picture Mary. Is this created in pastels, on a black canvas board ? Something I've not tried yet. The fine details on the onions is so real. Loving the different ways you've shown it, thus way for your picture looks so much nicer than hung on a wall. Show us more.
