Frank Lloyd Wright Design & Walking Tour

Hello friends!

It was such a beautiful morning, a perfect morning indeed for a

nice long walk in the neighborhood.

I thought I would take my camera and share a

few photo’s of some of the older homes in my neighborhood.

This first home was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

It’s just as unique and lovely on the inside as it is on the outside.

Something I found interesting, in this home ….there’s a window in each closet!

We have lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years….I can’t believe it myself!

I think there’s only a handful of us oldies left.

I enjoy seeing the younger families move into the neighborhood.

They add new life to some of these older homes.

Older homes are not for everyone,  you either really, really love them or…..

you don’t.

This home has a unique history… it was deteriorating until one

young doctor saw it’s potential.   I have watched him, over the

years, restore it piece by piece.

He amazes me with his talent, patience and perfection.    Can you believe he built this garage,

which matches the house, all  by himself?

Isn’t this a lovely and peaceful retreat?

It’s new to our area.  I can only imagine how beautiful this will be

when some of the plants mature.

There’s so many beautiful hidden treasures!

Hello Mary, it was a delight to share your walk with you. I don't know Frank Lloyd Wright so I will follow your link to find out about him. You certainly live in a beautiful place. Best Wishes Daphne

What a lovely neighborhood. Such lovely older homes. It is so cool to see the Frank Lloyd Wright home with his wheat pattern glass windows in a neighborhood setting. I had the privilege of seeing Taliesen West in Scottsdale, which was his own home and studio. Fascinating man. I love the old screen doors of some of the other homes and the ornate scrolls in the corners. Reminded me of my grandmother's home. Hoping that you have a good weekend.

I really enjoyed the Frank Lloyd Wright home cyber tour. I live near Oak Park, IL so I have visited one of his masterpieces. The Unity Church there is still on my "bucket list." Lovely photo of morning glories.

Mary,
Jess browsed through this post because she knows of Frank Lloyd Wright, as she has her degree in Interior Design. She loves these older homes, and one day would love to have one of her own. They are so charming, filled with character.
