Butterfly Bush

Before I began gardening,

I always thought the Butterfly Bush

and Lilac Bush were one of the same.

I believe the lilac blooms during the spring,

the Butterfly Bush blooms during the late spring and

continues throughout summer.

      

I love the mix of colors!

There’s this deep purple color….

     along with a lighter purple.

 

What’s your favorite color?

I added a little fresh lavender to the mix and the……

fragrance was a delight to the senses.

I’m thinking these are going to be a definite on my

planting list next spring.

This photo has nothing to do with Butterfly Bushes, but

isn’t this the most adorable little dog…well almost, there’s always Albert.

Anyway, as Albert and I were riding down the street, on the golf cart, at the lake cottage,

 there he was…. just sitting in this birdbath!
