It’s been a beautiful week here at the lake cottage.
Albert and I took our early morning walk to the lake.
It was a little cool but the wind was perfect for sailing.
I watched this turtle have breakfast…….
Albert always needs to take a swim.
There’s so much wild life here….birds are everywhere.
While sitting very still on my garden bench, I watched
this little bird fly from this tree,
to the birdhouse. She was very reluctant because she knew I was close by, but….
she took a chance anyway. She wants Albert to leave as well, but
he’s not budging.
After a week of fun and hard work…..it’s time for Albert and I to
leave. We’ll be back soon for Paducah’s quilt festival.
In the meantime,
I hope you’re having a good week.
See you soon!
Pin It now!

What a beautiful place, Mary.
I'm so jealous that your Albert will take a swim- I can't get Sophie or Henry anywhere near the water.
You sure were able to capture some wonderful shots. I think I'd frame a few of Albert!
Beautiful photos.
Hi Mary ~ thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! I just looked through your blog and your pictures are so beautiful. Ahh...Kentucky. I lived in the Lake Cumberland area for a few years as a teenager (in the 70's). My grandpa (age 96) still lives down there!
That bird house is such a pretty color, and this place is so peaceful and beautiful.
