Hello everyone! I hope your week has been going well. Can you believe it’s almost Friday? It seems like this week has just zoomed by. It’s been a busy week of all work and no play but….I’m feeling better already because my taxes are finished!
Now it’s time to move on to more important things such as a finding a good bargain. You agree?
As I was browsing through my Ballard design catalog I came across this shelf
Bistro Shelf $89 - $159.
While visiting la bonne volonte, Goodwill, I spotted this little shelf.
What a difference spray paint makes
twenty four little hours……later.
The Ballard’s shelves are very nice but for $2.50 this one will work just fine. I also think it will look much better once the room has been painted. Now….what color?
Thanks for stopping by! Take care and be safe and I will see you again very soon. xx00

Oh yes paint can make a huge difference! Love seeing something in a catalog and then being able to do a thrifty version. Thanks for joining JFF this week! hugs, Linda
I love the black! Amazing what a paint job can do for our treasures--very pretty.
I love it! I'm on the hunt now.
Enjoy your day~KarenSue
FABULOUS find! I love scouring GW for treasures! So glad you shared this on Cindy's Romantic Home! Newest follower too!
Wonderful transformation. What a difference paint can make. I am the same way with shadow boxes. I do not care what kind of scene is in them, I buy them to redo with seashells in them for summer. ~~Sherry~~
love the shelf and the horses! I found you at My Romantic Home, I have a party on Wednesday and would love it you would participate. http://typeadecorating.blogspot.com/
Thanks Tammy
I love shelves - and Goodwill! Your shelf looks great re-done in black. Also love the colorful painting above the black shelf. :-)
Great find!
Gee I've seen alot of these shelves and just passed them by. Now I'll have to rethink a few of my wall vingnettes. Great buy!~Ames
A little colour change can make a big difference. I thought it was written there $250 which is so expensive but it is actually $2.50! That is far too cheap!! Haha.
Congrats on your taxes done, i'm still struggling...
Looks wonderful! There is so much you can do with all of those plastic gold decor items that are all over Goodwill. Nice job. Congrats on the taxes too.
Mary, I love your find and I love that you painted it black. I love little shelves like that to prop a painting on. The vignette you created is fabulous.
It is amazing how paint can completely transform an item! Your shelf looks great and I love the vignette you created.
