Hello Everyone!
Today I’m sharing a few photo’s of root art.
I’ve been meaning to explain…
but in the meantime, I found these air plants at the Home
and Garden show.
I thought they would work perfectly on this one of a kind root art!
Now back to where I got the root art….
Our friend, who built our courtyard, kept telling me he had
this neat looking root he cut from a tree.
He said, “I know you’ll find something to do with it.”
(Whew…nothing like pressure!)
So…. he came over one afternoon and dropped it off. When I first saw it
my first thought was.….well, not exactly a good one!
I didn’t want to hurt his feeling’s, but… I didn’t know what I was going to
do with it. After I thought about it for a few days , I decided to
give it a shot.
After it was cleaned, stained with wood stain and sealant, it was starting to look better, but it was still lacking something.
Then I proceeded
to add some fake moss, a hanger and Viola!
It’s now hanging on the wall by one of my favorite reading spots in the garden.
You just never know what treasure’s you will find
from taking a walk in the woods.
I can’t wait until we have fresh tomatoes,
what about you?
Take care everyone, and I hope you’re having beautiful
weather like we’ve been having this week in KY.
See you soon!

Good Afternoon Mary, What a wonderful way to display a tree root... it looks fabulous.
Our weather is warming up this weekend, the weatherman says it will be a warm weekend, so fingers crossed I will be able to get out into the garden to do a little gardening.
Oh yes please, freshly picked, home grown tomatoes would be lovely.....but I will have to wait until July.
Have a lovely day today.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Mary,
Your root art is very unique. I've never seen this before, is it coming around? You have managed to take something from scratch and turn it into a lovely piece next to your reading space. Very clever, dear.
Have a nice weekend.
