Hello everyone!
I hope you had a great New Years!
Here’s a few good luck wishes for you!
Different kinds of birds have been linked to different superstitions, and the
one I can remember most, from my childhood, are the good luck ones that are linked to cardinals.
We filled our bird feeder yesterday and red birds along with some others came out of nowhere.
Gee…I hope that’s true…because we saw several today!
We all need a little help….one time or the other.
This will certainly come in handy, especially during the long winter months.
That’s a female Cardinal sitting on the branch, and another female is in the bird bath.
The females aren’t as colorful as the males.
I’m loving these sunshiny days…
hopefully tomorrow we will have some bluebirds…
I think they’re good luck too!
Now…we should all have good luck in 2013…including YOU!
Take care and I’ll be seeing you soon!
Pin It now!

Oh Mary,
These birds are just beautiful. I've never heard these sayings before, but now I will be looking for red birds. I was just telling another bloggy friend that I can never get a good shot at birds because they fly away too soon, and she told me that she quietly opens up a window in her house and uses her zoom in lens and takes pictures of the birds that way. I will have to give it a try. Thank you for your new year wishes, and I wish you peace and joy in the new year too. I love coming over to visit with you, Mary. Your blog is like a breath of fresh air to me.

A Happy New Year my dear!
Hugs,
Good Afternoon Mary, The Cardinals are beautiful, especially the males. I love the sayings. The only red bird we get here in England is the Red Robin, we know winter is on it's way when we see them in the garden. Have a lovely day, Best Wishes Daphne
