My first slipcover!

I have been in my sewing room for the last 12 hours trying to construct a slip cover for my chair.  After several #@&p#’s (bad words)  she is finally ready for a night out on the town.
I must admit this was a little difficult for me, but then I am a beginner sewer.  I really couldn’t attempt to do a tutorial.  For those of you who know what you are doing,  you won’t have a problem.  I did remember to wash and dry the fabric before starting.  Each chair is different, you have to make a little tuck here and there to get it to fit.

Here is the back.  No!   You can’t have a close up!

Excuse me I completely make a mess when I’m sewing!

Have you seen the French General Home Sewn book by Kaar King?  I ordered it last year and I have yet to make anything.  It has simple and beautiful illustrations.  It also has the pattern’s tucked just inside the cover.  If you are interested in purchasing you can find it here.

I am linking up with PinkandPolkadots slipcover party.  Make sure you drop by to see all of the wonderful slipcovers! Pin It now!
