My husband has been collecting these vintage soda crates for sometime now. It’s been fun trying to find different ones at flea markets and antique stores.
I love old vintage soda crates! They are so useful….I use them to transport flowers, fruit and vegetables from the
Farmers Market.
Can anyone remember going to the country store and having an RC with a moon pie? They were yummy back in the 60’s, but I can’t say they would be my favorite now.
I asked him if he thought he could make a little storage cabinet for his collection. He said he would try to come with up something. He said, this isn’t going to be a fine piece of furniture or anything….I said, “imperfection’s are welcome for this project!
Here she is with a little paint, sanding and distressing…
I believe it’s going to be the perfect addition for the little lake cottage!
The husband said, “don’t be getting any more bright ideas or promising one to your friends!” Me? Of course not!
Now the next question is, where am I going to put it?
Thanks everyone for stopping by!
I hope you enjoy your weekend, take care and I will see you soon!

As I was reading I was thinking, how can you make storage for these? Well, your husband has certainly created something just perfect for them to be displayed so perfectly! I'd definitely have this on show! A great collectors item. xx
Love this! I wish I was crafty as y'all!
Mary, I smiled when I saw the Moon Pie because I recently did a post about penny candy back in the good 'ole days, and I mentioned the Moon Pie. Your vintage crates are great. I love all the different kinds of soda pop and remember them well.
Have a nice week.
Love,

Good Morning Mary, Well I have to say, you have a very talented husband to be able to make this for you.
Like one of your other friends who commented, I could not think what he would make, but he has turned up trumps. The painting and distressing are just lovely added extras.
I wonder..... where did you place it in your cottage.
I'm sorry, but I have a feeling your husband will be kept busy, as your friends might be asking if he is available to make them one aswell.
Best Wishes to you,
Daphne

Love your soda crates, pics, and your husband made a great display for them! Newest follower, hope to see you visit and follow too. Also pinning, too cute!
Put me on the list of people who adore this soda (Coke, as we say in the south for every kind of soda) crate chest.
I am now following.

This is so pretty! The only problem for me is, I only ever find the crates for big money. Always on the lookout for a deal though, maybe I'll get lucky one day. Y'all did a great job on this. Take care - Dawn
I'm so pleased I found this!! I've been collecting crates too with this in mind and needed a photo to show hubby what I meant :) Now he can see I'm not completely crazy!!!
It looks fantastic btw :)
