Paducah KY

Here’s a few photos of Paducah KY.

For those of you that frequent this area, you probably already know about all the many talented and artistic people

that have shops and studios here. You can find just about anything from beautiful paintings and quilts to metal sculptor's.

It was definitely the wrong time of the day to take photo’s…not only was it very hot, about 107,  but

it was waa too sunny,  but….I did it anyway.

I hope you Enjoy!

This area hasn’t had any rain for weeks.  You can see how the monkey grass is dying and last year they

were flooded.  You never know about our weather.

Paducah 135

The flood walls are all hand painted murals that brings to life the history of this little town.

I was told it was an artist from New Orleans did all of the work, but I haven’t researched this piece of information.

There’s several cobblestone streets.

The restored old general store is so neat!  It stocks all the items that you

might have been seen in the past plus they serve very delicious food, as well.

Paducah 176

Paducah was hosting one of their Saturday night live concerts.

Whalers Catch.  This is one of our favorite restaurants because…. they serve the BEST oysters!

If you should take a river boat cruise….more than likely, you will make

a stop here.

You can dock your boat, walk to town or

just sit and watch the river,  but at 107 degrees, I was ready to go someplace a little

more comfortable….like Whalers Catch.

One more thing, I found some of Annie Sloan’s chalk paint at Petals and Pots in Mayfield.

I can’t wait to see what makes this one of the most exciting paints in blog world.

I hope you’re having a wonderful, relaxing weekend… I will see you soon!
