Fall & Burlap

Now that my favorite time of the year, Halloween, is over

it’s time to get ready for Thanksgiving.

It seem like the holidays are coming waaay too fast!

I just love burlap, don’t you? It’s always been a favorite of mine, but especially since it’s available in a wide

variety of textures and colors.

Here’s a quick and easy project that doesn’t take any special sewing skills to create.

Burlap kitchen runner 027-1

I used my 40% coupon from JoAnn’s for the burlap, I reused the off white fabric from

a pair of curtains, that I already had for the bottom ruffle, which made the total cost

a little less than $7.00.

With that price it doesn’t matter if we get a few spills or stains!

It’s a little long for this old antique table, but it should be perfect for the dinning room table.

If you like things made out of burlap and need some inspiration, why not join me over at

WhisperWoodCottage and SavedBySuzie.  I can’t wait to see what everyone has created!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have

a wonderful week!

See you soon!

  8. Fabulous! I think it requires more sewing skills than I have...like remembering how to thread the machine. :( That's always the biggest hurdle for me! :) Thanks for linking up to the burlap party at WhisperWood Cottage!
