Queen Ann’s Lace

The weather’s been very hot and humid here today in WK, but that didn’t stop me and Albert from taking a little walk.

We walked by a field of Queen  Ann’s Lace.  It looked so pretty mixed with its pretty green foliage.  Do you ever see something and it triggers memories of when you were young?  When I saw this field of Queen Ann’s Lace I immediately remembered seeing it on the farm and my dad would tell me to never pick them because they were full of chiggers.  I really don’t remember ever picking any until……..

My mother-in-law brought me some QA lace from Virginia one time. It was dried. She just loved it and I have developed a love for it as well. Thanks for the photos. They're beautiful. Love the jar, too.

I believe it would b e worth a little chigger bite for these pretty blooms. I have had more than my share from them in my younger day on the farm. Enjoyed your blog.
