A little sprucing up for the Kentucky Derby

I posted the Kentucky State Capitol a few weeks ago so today I thought I would post the Governor's Mansion and Floral Clock.  It's usually much nicer this time of year but the gardener's have had a difficult time trying to mow and trim due to the weather.  Hope you enjoy!

Albert has been so still, he’s been watching this squirrel while I’ve been snapping pictures.

He found a treasure!  No sir, he is not giving it up for a squirrel.

Mary your Albert is quite handsome! My Chloe used to love her sticks and not even for a squirrel would she give them up! Great shots of the beautiful landscaping.

You know I have never been to the capitol and I lived there (KY) over 20 years of my life. The Gov. mansion looks like an English manor house. I don't know if I have ever seen it. I was at UK when the Queen of England came to visit the horse farms in Lexington. I sure wish I could have seen her, but dutifully I went to class.
